Very worryingly, not a single person that was in this theory class has been learning their theory at home. Pupils and parents please note that theory classes are an additional aid to learning theory AT HOME, not a substitute for it. No pupil will be entered for an examination until they can answer theory questions!
We started working through the syllabus, making sure that dancers knew which name went with which step and talking through the theory behind the step. We looked at:
- Ronde de jambs a terre (Grade 2 ballet)
- Assemblé soutenous (Grade 2 ballet)
- Developé (Grade 3 ballet)
- Cut aways (Elementary tap)
